Apple Crumble

This apple crumble is for those of you who really like your apples to be on the sour side, just to make it extra sourish, this recipe also has lemon juice! And it also has a very tasty crumble thanks to the almonds. Usually the apple crumble is served with ice cream, whipped cream or custard but why do it the usual way? Why not serve it with coconut yogurt?

This season is perfect for apple crumble, there are plenty of apples out there, choose the sour ones as they suit this crumble best.

  • 3 medium sized apples
  • 100 g almond
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1-2 drops vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1  teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 50 g  rolled oat
  • 75 ml vegetable oil
  • 1-2 tsbp water to make almond and sugar mixture like a paste
  1. Turn the oven on 180C.
  2. Wash the skin of the lime and grind it. Cut it and press the juice out.
  3. Cut the apples in wedges and make sure to remove the stone. Put them in a bowl add the cardamom and cinnamon and turn the apples so they are covered in spice.
  4. Peel the skin off the almonds and let drain.
  5. Put the apples in a oven dish and pour the lemon juice over.
  6. Now mix the almond in a mixer until it is finely ground. Add sugar and mix into a paste. If it is to dry add a few drops of water.
  7. Mix the paste with oil and oat with your fingertips.
  8. Distribute evenly on top of the apples.
  9. Bake for 20-30 minutes in the middle of the oven until the crumble is golden.

アップルクランブル

 

  • リンゴ中3個
  • アーモンド100g
  • 砂糖100g
  • レモン汁小さじ1
  • バニラエッセンス1-2滴
  • カーダモンパウダー小さじ ½
  • シナモンパウダー小さじ ½
  • オーツ麦50g
  • ベジタブルオイル75ml
  1. オーブンを予熱180度に設定する
  2. レモンの皮を擦る。ジュースを絞る。
  3. リンゴをらせん状に切り、種を取り除く。
  4. ボールに入れ、カーダモン、シナモン を加え、まんべんなく振り掛かるように混ぜる。
  5. オーブン皿にリンゴを並べ、レモンジュースをかける。
  6. アーモンドを粉状になるまで細かく砕く。
  7. 砂糖(と適量の水)を加えペースト状になるまで混ぜる。
  8. バターとオーツ麦を加え手で混ぜる。
  9. リンゴの上に均等に振り分ける。
  10. オーブンの中段で20-30分程焼く。
