Olive Cheese Balls

This is a very tasty easy appetiser, great for your summer party! In this recipe we use the Swedish cheese Västerbottensost but you can of course substitute it with cheddar or any other hard cheese with flavour. A vegan version of this will be posted soon!

My olives were quite big so I didn’t make 24 balls, so number of balls depends on how big your olives are.

Olive cheese balls:

24 olives (with chilli taste)
100- 150g cheese
2 tbsp butter
150g flour
3-4 tbsp water
20 g Sesame seeds

1. Preheat oven to 200 C.
2. Grate the cheese.
3. Mix cheese, butter and flour and add the water.
4. Form 24 cakes.
5. Place one olive in each cake. Roll dough around each olive. Roll balls in sesame seed.
6. Bake balls in the oven for 15-20 minutes until golden.


オリーブボール 24個分
オリーブ(種なしで唐辛子風味のもの) 24個
ブロックチーズ 130 g
小麦粉 150g
水 大さじ3−4
ごま 20g

  1. オーブンを200℃に温めておく。
  2. チーズをすり下ろす。
  3. チーズとバターと小麦粉を混ぜる。水を加えて生地をまとめる。
  4. 生地を24個に分け、平らに伸ばす。
  5. オリーブを一つずつ取る。オリーブを生地で包み、丸める。丸めたものをごまの敷き詰めた上で転がす。
  6. きつね色になるまでオーブンで15−20分焼く。
